This is Kudo, it’s a worsted weight cotton/silk/rayon blend that is self-striping. Very Noro-esque!!!
This is Jeannee from Plymouth. It’s 51% Cotton/49% acrylic. Super soft, perfect for all your cotton projects from baby items to dishcloths. Cotton keeps you cool and comfortable, while acrylic will help the project keep its shape.
Here are the colors I mentioned in my last post. Yummy Misti Alpaca Pima Silk!!!
Just in time for Spring, new colors of Misti Alpaca Pima Silk! This silk/cotton blend is perfect for the warmer weather that’s on it’s way. There’s also a couple of new chunky colors for those of you heading to the snow.
Pantone Color Institute just announced that “Marsala” is the color of the year! They say that this hue is elegant and rich, “but that it’s red/brown roots give it a natural earthiness”. Look for it in fashion and home improvement. This color is “Jupiter” by Malabrigo, I think it fits perfectly!!
Now is the time!! We’re in the middle of our “We Love Our Customers” Sale. Everything in the store is 30% off until the end of the month! That means these beautiful Glimakra swifts, that were $92 and $86, are now $64.40 and $60.20. The high quality Royal ball winder (like the one we use here in the store is now $37.80.
Here is a quote from the Glimakra website:
“Umbrella SWIFTS are made from birch, in two sizes, the regular size which holds skeins up to 72″ around, and the large swift which holds skeins up to 100″ around. They are constructed and finished to get the most appropriate surface for the yarn. These are the original Swedish made swifts and not an imitation. They have been made by GAV Glimakra for 82 years or so. Look for Sweden on the logo. You can clamp these swifts to stand vertically, as shown. Or you can mount them horizontally which can make for easier un-winding, especially for fine threads. Use the swift in conjunction with the ball winder as seen here. If you break an umbrella arm or perhaps the wooden screws, we often can repair and replace the parts.”
Just brushing up on my 2015 fashion trends. . .According to Vogue, beanies are out and berets are in!! Berets are classic, check out Faye Dunaway (love the sweater!). The “Felted Shetland Beret” pattern from Churchmouse Classics, made in Cascade 220, would fit the bill perfectly!!
Check out these gorgeous colors we just received in their Superwash worsted (and it’s really soft too)!!
Here’s a basket of yummy-ness! Fyberspates “Scrumptious” and “Gleem Lace”. They are both 45% silk and 55% wool and the colors are GORGEOUS!
